Appointment of Michel Vallée as interim director general of the Longueuil Symphony
Longueuil, May 19, 2021 – The Board of Directors of the Longueuil Symphony and its President, Mr. Jean-Jacques Rainville, are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michel Vallée as Interim Director General of the Longueuil Symphony will take up his duties in a progressively starting May 26th.
Mr. Jean-Marc Léveillé, who has held the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since May 2020, will remain in office until May 25. As announced earlier today, Mr. Léveillé must effectively leave his position because of his candidacy at Longueuil’s Town Hall. Director from 2016, then Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Longueuil Symphony, Jean-Marc has many achievements to his credit, especially during this last year, where he supported the initiatives of our artistic director and appointed conductor, Alexandre Da Costa. “While maintaining optimal cost management in the difficult context of the pandemic, today we salute and thank a person who has been able to make strategic and effective decisions over the past few years,” declared Mr. Jean-Jacques Rainville, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Longueuil Symphony.

Member of our board of directors since November 2020, and who in addition, in the last months, has already started working with our maestro on different projects, Michel Vallée is a professional and a pioneer in Quebec cultural mediation and is an expert in social art, which is fully in line with the mission of the Longueuil Symphony,” added Mr. Rainville.
