Alexandre Da Costa and the musicians of the Longueuil Symphony are proud to present the Beethoven concert at L’Étoile, featuring the Symphony No. 2 of the illustrious German composer. Presented and conducted for the first time in 1803 by Beethoven himself at Vienna’s famous An der Wien Theater, the Orchestra is reproducing here the work, but also the program of that evening with the composer’s third concerto.

The Quebecker pianist Jean-Philippe Sylvestre will be the Longueuil Symphony’s guest of honor and will join the musicians of the Orchestra and Alexandre for a very special musical moment.

The Longueuil Symphony continues in the tradition of Viennese concerts and of the great composers who have been influenced by the cultural capital, thanks to its conductor, Alexandre Da Costa, who leads the musicians with his baton or his bow, using the unique technique of Play & Conduct that he masters to perfection.
